My wife and I have come to New England four times. We appreciate good food and good hospitality. We were driving up Route 1 and saw your place and said to ourselves--How can a place be this packed at 3:00 pm in the afternoon on a Thursday. This was a advertisement in itself to stop and see what all the fuss was about. When we set down at the table and was greeted by Southern hospitality from the North, saw the happy faces, the packed diner and smelled the aroma of good food , we knew we were in the right place. The Lobster pie, clamaroma and lobster macaroni were out of this world. The only problem with your diner, we have to drive 1000 miles to get this kind of food. One more reason(far as I am concerned the Maine reason) to come to your great state P.S Every thought of locating a store in North Carolina!!!

The Maine Diner is the BEST! We love the food, the staff and the atmosphere. Although we don't live in Maine, we visit multiple times each year and always eat at the Diner. Every menu item has been delicious and we feel like family when we walk in the door. We love vacationing in Maine to visit the beautiful lighthouses and the breathtaking coastlines. In 2004, after shopping at Lighthouse Depot, we asked the clerk where we could find the best breakfast in town. Her immediate reply -- The Maine Diner. We enjoyed the best breakfast in New England! My husband had a lobster omelet and I had a delicious traditional breakfast with the best hot chocolate. In 2007 when we returned, by chance, we ended up at the same corner booth we sat at on our first visit. We'll see you again in 2011.

Three years ago I was trying to find Kennebunkport and couldn't seem to get there. We stopped and asked a very nice man how to get there. He was polite enought to tell us to go down the road to the Maine Diner then turn right. Being from California, I thought, Main Diner, thinking it was the only diner in town. Much to do about being in Maine..hmmm.....a little slow I was. After going to Kennebunkport for the typical Tourist walk, we headed back and stopped at your Maine Diner. OH MY, the food was wonderful, even having to wait for quite awhile, it was worth it. I always said, when I return, I will definitely return to your Diner. I then saw Guy Fieri from DDD, I knew he would love it as we did. I am very excited to say, we will be returning for our Fall visit in October and the Maine Diner is on our MUST DO LIST. I can't wait to eat there again, not sure what time of day we will be there, but I am positive what ever the time and the decision as to what we will eat, it will be wonderful. Keep up the wonderful work and I hope to see everyone sometime on October 9th. DO you ever ship fresh Lobster to Calfornia? We always look forward to breakfast at the Maine Diner every morning during our annual long weekend in Maine. When my daughter was small, she liked to see which new t-shirt would be framed on the wall every year. And we still play "which of the 'old' waitresses will still be there" every year. 3 years ago when we started coming up to Ogunquit, we tried the diner. We ate their 3 times in one week and every year since we come back for more great food and great service. I cannot say enough about The Maine Diner. You are FANTASTIC. I was originally told to stay away because it was nothing more than a tourist trap. Well, we were tourists on Wed 7/14 and i was never so pleased and taken care of before. I only wish i could remember the name of the woman that served us at the counter that day. She was so nice. She told us that her husband had retired from the service if that helps. What a nice woman and friendly. Great food, I love this place and i will be back.
