Maine is my very favorite place to visit, and the Maine Diner is my favorite place to eat. (you make the BEST blueberry pancakes and the best Mac & cheese. I try to get up there at least 4 - 5 times a year. Sometimes we will leave early in the morning, and arrive in time to have breakfast with you.3 weeks ago, My friend and I were in Maine for 3 days, and we ate 3 breakfasts and 2 dinners at the Maine Diner.(my husband is involved with the Kairos program that has a weekend retreat (thurs. PM 'til Sun. PM) for at least 20 prisoners at the Maine State Prison in Thomaston. While he is in prison, my best friend and I stay at Wells beach and frequent your Diner. (I have been there every year since you opened.) I am turning 79 in February and will probably spend my birthday in Maine, the good Lord willing! Thanks for the great food and the low prices!

I love the maine diner food. But the one thing that is more enjoyable than the food is the waitress with all the bracelets, Amy i believe. She has the power to turn a frown up-side down with her humorous, yet efficiant service. Once, i went into the restaurant and Amy happened to have a day off. Though the other waitresses are great, Amy is the best of the best. Whenever i am on vacation, i go to the maine diner just to see Amy. and even with me living in another state, she still remembers my name!! I love Amy!!

We were heading home to Connecticut from Freeport and asked at the Visitors' Center if there were any good diners on the way home. They sauid, well, there's the Maine Diner - we don't know how good it is, but they advertise a lot and they've been there a while...well we need to tell them that beyond a doubt it IS GREAT. The lobster pie was the best, as was the turkey and the mac'n'cheese...mmmm. Wait staff was great too. It's only four hours from home so I can see making a day trip just to have the lobster pie. Yes, it's that good!

Hi, We live in Switzerland and try to come to the Maine Diner at least once every summer. Our favorites are the lobster roll and the blueberry pie with vanilla ice cream. Came for lunch and it was totally awesome - as usual!

After living in the Greater Portland for more than 30 years, my GF and I had our first visit to the Maine Diner on 8/8/09. The food was VERY reasonably price, it was fantastic. The service was super fast considering how busy it was. The waitress was efficient and very friendly. We look forward to our next meal there.

Like Eddie in your video, when Gary and I get to your Diner, we plan to have a lil' taste of everything! We may have to stay in town a week to make it happen, but that's ok. Just a mention of the Maine Diner and and there's peace on earth! I'll never forget the first time we walked into the diner - it was a cold, rainy Sat. nite in early June '96 when we arrived in Wells with our 10 yr old daughter. We stumbled into the diner around 8:45 pm - filled our road weary selves with delicious food that gave us comfort. We were hooked. Years later after a day of college hunting in Boston we made our day complete with pie and coffee with the diner family. In other years many anniversary dinners were spent at the diner. I am 23 years old and I have visited the Maine Diner every year of my life on the morning we would arrive for our yearly week/2 week vacation in Wells. In fact, my parents tell me the first words I ever read were "Bull & Claw" from the sign across the street! Because of our family's love for Wells my grandparents actually moved their permanently about 12 years ago. Ray Thyng from Wells Maine actually turned us on. mom passed away 2yrs. ago and I haven't been able to get back into the good times mode. My mom is now in a nursing home, but more then anything, she wanted "Indian Pudding"... so you can imagine how lucky I was to google it and discover the Maine Diner had it. We visit the the Wells/Ogunquit area several times a year and we ALWAYS go to the Maine Diner. At least twice when we come to the area. The staff are all so nice and the food is excellent. My daughter and her boyfriend will be coming to Ogunqit in Augest and they are looking forward to their first trip to the Diner. My daughter had me drive & drive & drive to get to this Maine Diner on our way home to NJ from ME. Boy, am I glad she did!! The lobster roll was so delicious & reasonably priced. The blueberry pie ala mode was wonderful..little tasty blueberries in a wonderful crust witha golden yummy vanilla ice cream on top. It is all I thought about on the drive hom! Wish I had more. YUM!! Well I just got home from vacation with my family in New Hampshire and had to get online to visit the gift shop because it was closed when we visited. on 01/27/08 a nice NEW England day for the beach. With a Noreaster just of the coast. My brother and I along with our wifes decided to take a trip to Maine and get some real seafood. We did not know where we were going or how we were going to get there. Anyway we ended up in Wells "still don't know how we got there" We first pulled into the place across the street and thought it seemed to look a bit snotty for our taste, when my brother piped up and said I heard good things about the Maine Diner. So the Maine Diner it was. Went inside and felt as if I was back home in Meredith NH (Where I grew up) The staff Was friendly but not too friendly like some other places. The food well it was real Maine food, not any dishes with funny names that I had to ask the waitress what it was but real people food and some of the best I had ever eaten. I will never go to maine without a stop at the Maine Diner. In fact it might be the reason for my going to Maine in the first place in future trips. Thanks for the Grub!!!! Bill Enis P.S. My colleague and I had heard many great things about your restaurant from friends as well as TV, so when a business trip put us in the area we knew we had to check out what all the fuss was about. We weren't dissapointed! The food was delicious and the service friendly. We decided we will definately be back the next time we're in town, those corn muffins would be impossible to pass up!
